About DAD Ops

DAD Ops

DAD Ops is a WARDOGS community for grown-up gamers, mostly dads in their 30s and 40s, who want to unwind, have a few drinks and play something that feels like a real fight.

We're casual most of the time and tactical when it counts. On a good night that means full squads working the Control Zone, calling out enemies, reviving each other and spending the team's cash like we planned it. On a normal night it means that, plus a lot of laughing at whoever drove the Humvee into a ditch.

Nobody here is chasing a leaderboard or a pro career. DAD Ops is where you come to decompress, crack a cold one and play with people who get it.

The patch says it: Limited Availability. We've got jobs, kids and a 0500 alarm, so we play when we can and make it count. The old motto still stands, too: tactical when it counts, cold ones the rest of the time.

How we roll

  • Mission first (mostly)When it's go time, we play the objective as a team. The rest of the time, we're here to hang out.
  • Family comes firstKid wakes up, spouse needs you, early shift tomorrow? Go. No explanations needed.
  • Laugh it offNo raging, no blaming, no drama. A wipe is just a good story for later.
  • Nobody left behindNew to WARDOGS or rusty on shooters? Every new recruit gets a battle buddy to show them the ropes, at their pace.
  • Know your limitGrown-ups only (21+). Have a few, have fun, and look out for each other.

Moving up the ranks

Ranks are earned by showing up, not by stats. Every op night you spend in DAD Ops voice counts.

Numbers are op nights attended, and the insignia are the US Army's, from a Private's single stripe to a Colonel's eagle. You also get a service stripe for every 10 nights. The S3 (the admins who run op nights) and the Owner wear staff badges on top of their rank, and the crew who started DAD Ops wear a Founder badge. Corporals and up can sign up on their profile to be a Battle Buddy for new recruits, and Sergeants and up to be an Ops Leader. Both come with a Discord role. See everyone on the Regulars wall.
